Hysteria coming from the left is unfounded! Far more people are protected by guns than are assaulted by them. A gun can be a defense mechanism without having to shoot someone. Plenty of sources online like the so-called Harvard study manipulates the data showing their anti-gun stance because their definition of self-defense for that study is Justifiable Homicide or the shooting of another person when in fact guns are “USED” as a deterrent making the very presents of a gun an act of self-defense. If you have never dealt with criminals you don’t know what the hell you're talking about because the use of a deadly weapon is to stop the threat so if the brandishing of a firearm stops the threat then it's used in self-defense!
